Bridal Do's & Don'ts

Updated: Sep 27, 2019

With my 7 years of experience being a Makeup Artist there are a few things I suggest taking into consideration before and after you book your makeup artist. I would definitely suggest setting up a trial to find out what type of looks you like and don’t like. This helps avoid any confusion the day of your wedding. Do your research! Look at different pictures of women who have similar features or hair color so you can visualize what you will look like. Definitley add lashes! This will make everything on your eyes pop by giving a dramatic yet natural feel. Lashes make such a difference, they are definitely a must for your big day! Set aside enough time for your makeup between 45 minutes to an hour. The last thing you want to be doing on your wedding day is feeling rushed when having your makeup done. The next few things are some suggestions leading up to your wedding day. I recommend not trying any different skin care items other than your regular regime. This could cause you to breakout or even have a reaction the day before your wedding. If you are planning to do any facials before your wedding I would do them a few months or a month in advance. To give your skin some time to recover. Also, be sure to be comfortable with whatever makeup look you decide on! You don't want to be self conscious during your ceremony or taking pictures throughout the night. I hope some of these suggestions make prepping for your wedding a little easier! xo
